Current Projects

The Humane Repatriation Center currently has 2 very exciting projects in development, and we invite your comments, participation and support.

We identified early on in our mission that one of the largest obstacles we faced in securing humane treatment for the victims whom we serve was to actually make them HUMAN.

It is so much easier to dislike, mistreat and deny fundamental human compassion towards those whom we do not know. Because the situation rarely receives much coverage in main stream news, the average person is simply completely unaware of the severe crisis which exists along our southern border, nor of the incredible suffering endured by the families of these victims. On the rare ocassions when stories do appear in a major publication, it is more often than not simply a sterile reporting of facts, figures, and statistics, which do very little to urge the average person to action or conscience. We were forced with the challenge of finding a way to give names, faces, and personal family stories to these statistics, to make them HUMAN. Each and every one of these victims have families searching and grieving for them. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives and children. These are REAL people , with REAL stories to tell.

We currently have 2 very exciting projects in development to give a voice to these victims.Written and produced to tell their stories in a personal and intimate way, to make them human. To make them REAL to the average person, as opposed to just another nameless, faceless statistic.

The first is a twelve minute mini-documentary of the plight of these victims caught up in the nightmare of a seriously flawed immigration policy. It is a powerful and moving piece written not only to educate the average person as to the enormity of the tragedy faced by these people, but also as a memorial and final tribute to all those who remain lost and forgotten along our southern border. “Los Desconocidos”.

The second project which we have in development is a “trilogy” of three 4 minute videos with accompanying original musical compositions which we hope to produce and market as a means of educating the general public and making them more sympathetic to plight of these people, and also as a means of further financially supporting our mission, making us yet more self-sufficient and self-perpetuating.
